The Eastern German Economic Forum has been the leading platform for all topics related to the economic development of East Germany since 2016. Its goal is to connect committed stakeholders from politics, business, science, and society, jointly identify the opportunities and challenges of the region, promote groundbreaking ideas, and shape the transformation processes that define the economic landscape.

The OWF’s annual economic conference takes place in Bad Saarow, Brandenburg.

During the 10th Annual Conference of the East German Economic Forum (OWF) under the theme „next level“ we will address key questions concerning the economic development of the region.

Once again this year, the Hotel Esplanade will serve as the conference hotel, hosting the majority of networking events and workshops. The Theater am See provides ample space for the OWF’s main program, while the idyllic lake terrace is the perfect setting for networking and informal conversations. Right on the shores of Lake Scharmützelsee, the SeeBadSaarow beach restaurant will host additional networking and conference formats, such as the Working Breakfasts.

The Eastern German Economic Forum is a project of Germany – Land of Ideas. The initiative was founded in 2006 on the occasion of the World Cup by the German government and German industry, represented by the Federation of German Industries (BDI).
